The College of Biological Sciences Student Board is divided into six committees, each with a focus on the cardinal issues of CBS: the Student Equity and Justice Committee, the Engagement Committee, the Mental Health and Outreach Committee, the Research Committee, and the Transitions Committee.
Consultative committee
The Consultative Committee advises the dean about long-range goals and plans for the College. The committee includes representatives from all academic departments, staff levels, and students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Council on Liberal Education
The Council on Liberal Education has oversight responsibilities for the University of Minnesota Liberal Education Curriculum for all undergraduate students on the Twin Cities campus.
Educational Policy Committee
The CBS Educational Policy Committee (EPC) is a constitutionally authorized committee whose general charge is to oversee the educational endeavors of the College and acts advisory to the Dean.
Student Conflict Resolution Center
The Student Conflict Resolution Center works with students to resolve university-based problems and concerns by providing confidential, impartial, and informal options for resolving conflicts in a fair manner.
Undergraduate Advisory Board
The Undergraduate Advisory Board is a group of student representatives from each college that meets monthly with the Vice Provost and other university administrators to discuss a variety of student issues
Undergraduate Student Government
The Undergraduate Student Government (previously Minnesota Student Association) works as the voice of the student body by shaping University policy, working with university administrators and the Board of Regents and engaging with legislators at every level of government.
